To hone his skills in portraiture, Van Gogh painted friends, acquaintances and even himself - in the latter case the mirror was an indispensible aid. Van Gogh used this work to experiment with the use of complementary colours and the neo-impressionist technique. The halo around the head of the artist is a striking part of this painting. The decorative cushion is printed on a mix of viscose and cotton velvet, giving it the richness of velvet and a beautiful shine through the mix of qualities. The cushion is finished with a blue cord piping.

We will honour a change of mind in line with our terms and conditions for online returns, however, freight costs will be incurred at your expense (between $75-$150 per item) and the goods must remain in their original condition to obtain a refund.
